Hello all!
Well just a quick update regarding our Badges & Bouquets 2013 wedding.....
On September 6, 2013....we had a BEAUTIFUL wedding, yummy cocktail hour and a reception to jump up and down for!
Josh & Rachel Dietert had a whirlwind planning process to say the least! But, Diamonds & Dreams had already done the hard part (we found them every incredible vendor we could for all the categories of the day!). The hard part for Josh and Rachel was deciding what they WANTED from each vendor. :) And can I add, EVERY vendor......every single one, and we had over 20! UPGRADED from what they had originally promised when they signed up to participate. EVERY vendor upgraded. SUCH generosity from this community. So proud of them!
They were truly a great couple to work with and so thankful and humble I have to say. They appreciated everything that was placed in front of them. I really don't think they believed they were really going to have a wedding (even though we kept having meetings with those vendors!)...they just felt it was so surreal!
KENS5 TV followed the entire process so we all felt like TV stars for a few months!
We will have photos shortly from the infamous Philip Thomas of Philip Thomas Photography and Josh Rinder from Limelight Photo and Video did video for us.....hoping for video soon, too! In the meantime, here's the link to a few of Philip's faves.....http://www.philipthomasblog.com/
Thank you Josh and Rachel for all you and your families have done for generations....keeping us safe and saving us when we weren't! xoxoxo

Badges & Bouquets
Hello all!
This year has been a crazy year for Diamonds & Dreams, but exciting at the same time. Have we had lots of fun and unique clients.....of course!! Its what we do, unique, fun and STUNNING events. But always in the back of my closet was this little idea waiting to get out........2013 is the birth year for that little idea! Badges & Bouquets. Our dream child!! lol Ok, i'm having a TON of help on this project, but its sooo worth all of our efforts!
First, let me explain the concept of Badges & Bouquets. Technically its a contest specifically geared to community servants (police officers or firefighters) to win a dream wedding, totally sponsored by wedding or special event vendors. That in itself is pretty AWEsome....but to us, the best part is GIVING BACK to those who selflessly protect us every day. Firefighters and police officers leave their homes every day, without hesitation, to the unknown terrors of the day. 3 and 4 alarm fires, drug busts, hostage situations, traffic accidents, dragging people out of burning buildings.....the list is truly never ending for these people. They take their own lives and place them in peril for US because its their J.O.B.!! Yeah, let's compare that to researching pinterest for a day or two!!
To have the opportunity to show them they have great value to the community, we have asked the community to show them we care. A wedding doesn't really sound much like a pay back, but when you think of how much they do for us, how underpaid and overworked they are and how their families face the very real possibility of never seeing them again when they walk out the door....... this seems almost insignificant. But, I don't have a lot of power amongst the super powers at city hall...but I do have a lot of friends in the wedding community, and to say I was surprised by their generosity would be a lie........I see how they give to our community all the time for various causes. But, they once again stepped up for B & B!
We had our first contest (very quickly thrown together this year) and our winners (Josh & Rachel) will be married on September 6, 2013 at the gorgeous Lost Mission in Spring Branch. The Veranda (a brand new luscious facility within the heart of SA) has offered their space and catering for the rehearsal dinner....and right now we have everything we need to pull off a beautiful wedding for this couple. The year of the Dalmation!!
2014 is for our police officer winners and that contest will begin around Christmas time, so you'll have to check back in to see how that one rolls out. We already have a venue, a photographer, a gown donation. 2015, yep, we have a sponsor for venue and catering already in place. People...this is huge!! So proud of all our vendors and those of you yet to volunteer......we are building dream weddings one vendor at a time.....and believe me, our vendors are the creme de la creme!! thank you SA, you make me proud to know you!
A list of all our sponsors will be on our website once published, but for now, you can find them on our facebook page :) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Badges-Bouquets/494213203972260?ref=hl
Any vendor that would like to participate for 2014 or 2015, PLEASE contact me and let's chat!!
Sooo happy about this post and excited to bring happiness to a very deserving couple...every year until I physically cannot do it anymore.....then someone else picks up my slack! :)

Alex and Angela - Match made at the Westin La Cantera!!
Hello all!
Our client's wedding last weekend was awesome! Lots of happy tears, beautiful environment, great food and the alcohol flowed freely! The bride was more than stunning and her gown to die for. ONE of my favorite dresses to date! I'm posting a few photos to intrigue you and alsoattepting to put up a video of the Conga line :) Cutting Edge Entertainment's DJ di jour (Sam!!!) kept the crowd on the floor all night, but I have to say, we haven't seen a conga line for a while, so it was kinda fun to watch the antics!
Enjoy!!

Hello all!
Haven't been on here for a LOOONG time, and yes, we've been busy, but really no excuse for not visiting with YOU! Again, beat me when you see me!
We have been super busy tho and have sooo many things we'd love to share but some we can only hint at!!
First, I've moved offices twice since this time last year. No real reason other than I'm an Army brat from way back and just used to moving from time to time (I get an itch that I can't get rid of until I see a "for lease" sign :)
My office FOR NOW is located in north central SA close to the airport and tons of malls, so call me or come by and see me and we'll chat about your event, your anxiety, the love of your life.....or just gossip!
We recently held a style shoot at the fabulous new venue "The Veranda" (aka The Lodge Restaurant in Castle Hills). Chef Mike Bomberg of Spice of Life and his team bought and have renovated this spot and it is absolutely stunning! You must go and visit...the grounds are lush and just perfect for those outside ceremonies and the covered pavilion is so beautiful and perfect for dancing! They also have a little bungalow in the back that's just perfect for those quiet dinners for TWO with lots of candlelight and romance and well......you get the idea! Lots of photos on their facebook page and a few spots left for those last minute brides ready to get started!
Jessica Silvaggo Galbreath did a fabulous job keeping us all in check at the shoot (ok, she really just stayed on top of Chef Mike so we had something fabulous to shoot on the feasting table). Gowns were supplied by Julian Gold Salon in Alamo Heights and we had hair and makeup by the incredible Blush Team (thank you Ash & Steph!)...they are always up for a challenge!! (that would be me....a challenge!) Our fairy-ettes are simply stunning in costumes supplied by Born to Bling (thanks Fallon). I have been sworn to secrecy by the editing team at San Antonio Weddings Magazine, but rumor has it, it'll be debuting our photoshoot in July! Fingers crossed!
Let us know what you think....I can guarantee you haven't seen much like it in any wedding magazine...ever :)
